It finally feels like fall! Good thing I don’t have access to all the emojis from my IPhone, or I’d plaster them everywhere. I’m a fall kinda girl.
But I also start to want food that reminds me of fall. And while I believe in protein, especially Whey, I also want to not taste it.
So here’s my latest recipe to cleverly disguise the taste of it! I’ve you a lovely pink, Cranberry concoction. And cranberries have a lot of benefits including antioxidants, Vitamin C, and benefits to both your Urinary Tract and Immune System Health.
- 1 scoop vanilla whey (Use what you have. As I’ve said before, I’m not getting kickbacks…but I’ve got Dymatize on my shelf right now.)
- 1 cup cranberries. (I used the frozen, but you can use fresh if that floats your boat. Don’t use the dried ones though– they have a lot of extra sugar.)
- 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup. (Yeah, it’s sugar. I get it. But it also adds some flavor, and since I use it to fuel my workout, I’m not worried about it.)
- 8oz Milk
- Cinnamon or Nutmeg to taste. (I tried Cinnamon first, but it came alive when I added the nutmeg. Here again, it’s your shake. Make it rock your world…within reason, of course.)
Add it all to your blender. Add the whey last. Trust me, you do not want a blender full of whey clumps. Blend until it’s smooth. You know– big, surprising cranberry blobs aren’t so nice. But if that’s your thing…
